Yeah, they built the line up to the belgium border, not expecting Germany to sidestep the line and enter through another country. That's why I'm proud to have German blood in me. The fortifications in the line were actually pretty cool, it just was flawed by the French, as usual, thinking their shit doesn't stink.

Seriously, even my 4yr old cousin knows to watch his flank.
