4 bolt 350, th350 trans, 12 bolt rear. thinking about going big block next year
Allow me to translate for all the import guys:
4 bolt 350 is like the ITR block of the Chevy 350. Everyone talks about them like they are god almighty, but Lingerfelter made his name by not giving a shit and building 2 bolt blocks that were relaible at the same power levels. Anyone who tells you they have a 4 bolt main 350 is a domestic ricer.
TH350 trans is a 600-650 whp transmission after you throw a rebuild, shift kit, and converter with a stall at it. For the size motors they bolt to they ain't shit, but they're dirty cheap even when you replace *everything* so that makes them kind of cool.
12 bolt rear is the best rear end GM every came out with, considered an upgrade by idiots everywhere who don't realize a $150 Ford 8.8 would fix everything and think they have to buy a $2500 barely tricked out Ford 9" or cope with how shitty their GM is. A 12 bolt rear is a fragile pile of shit that falls apart if you do a burnout on sticky street tires at stock power levels. Complete garbage. Only faggots, Canadians, and faggot Canadians brag about them.
Big block = big money, and if you aren't going for over 400 you're basically a fool for spending that money. A big block is what you build to make 700 on motor and spray a 350+ shot on, or a 2500 whp turbo motor. A big block is what God Almighty drives, not a faggot sub-400whp fool who's afraid of a 4 link.
Hope that helped!
