Ok i have no idea how vw tuning or any aspect of that. I know they all get basemaps n shit from Revo and TT but i had no idea how that all plays in once boost is in the picture.

I suppose you fill them in on specs and they burn up a chip and send it to you?

Basically all from what I've heard from my VW buddy these chips are magically delicious and will be fine for a range of turbos/boost with certain injectors. I tried to ask him how you go about tuning the thing and he stared at me blankly saying it doesnt need it $:-\$

Like damn they gotta be pretty awesome motors if these dudes are betting the shit out of basemaps. like 2 pounds or 16 its the same map? like its not changing anything? do they tune it for like 8 lbs or someshit? i don't really know what to say, i was just thinking it couldn't really be that way.

MAFs will let you do some stupid shit with regards to changing a tune and not blow the car up. That doesn't mean it runs worth a damn.

This is also a 2.8L 6cyl so 3 or 400whp is a lot easier to come by with an extra litre of displacement.
