This is the worst thread ever on this site. You've managed to tell me something anyone with common sense has known for 10 years. Amazing how the information hasn't changed a lick.
eBay turbos are hit or miss. Sometimes they work great, sometimes they fail immediately. The build quality and quality control on them is completely hit or miss. Turbos spin fast and are subject pretty harsh conditions. Suggesting some $200 unit from China is equal to a properly engineered part that costs $600 is insane. If you want a $200 turbo, go buy a used one, or throw the dice and see what you get from eBay.
In the end, if you idiots continue to discuss this topic, it just shows your level of stupidity. It should be completely obvious to anyone with any common sense that if you want these turbos to be more reliable, you should check to make sure they are within proper specs. It's old news. Why is rebuilding an OBX LSD logical, but checking the specs on a $200 chinese turbo a new thought?
