lookin for some .xdf/damos files for a b6 audi a4 1.8t quattro project(if i can find this shit)
ive found some shit on the b5 s4 me7.1 ecu's, but none of the audi turds seem to respond to the question on if it will work the same with the 1.8t.
any info very welcome, thanks

yessir. i have never fucked with the vag ecus, but we just got a 05.5 jetta a while ago for my wife and i like it so i was thinking about getting an a4. so naturally i would have to get the turbo awd, but i want to find out as much as i can first. fuck paying $600 for a shitty chip/flash job

Just a little FYI. Tuning a motronic car (especially the one you are looking at) is not anything like what you think its going to be. You cant just tune the fuel and timing maps and call it done. I am just now starting to get into the newer VAG /BMW stuff because of the crazy difficult tuning and I have been tuning motronic cars for years.

I will start a thread on how to do this when I get to that point.

ya, i realize this. there are a shit-ton of maps on there, it will be a  learning experience. mostly doing it because i dont want pussy k04 as my only possible upgrade. although now im lookin into modifiying the exhaust mani for use with a bib 16g.

You have a KWP2000 tool or galletto? If you do I can get you an XDF for tuner pro. All I need to do is move the map locations around to match. You will also need the andy wittacker checksum program or be really fast and good with a hex editor.LOL

Boy that sure sounds easy  ;) The problem is the result of changing the load. Now to keep everything happy we need to change throttle position,all boost tables,and fuel/timing tables to match. Thats the hard part

You haven't tuned any Fords, then.  If the injector slopes or MAF curve is arbitrarily or incorrectly changed the calculated load goes and gets itself fucked.

Some of the VAGina cables are "dumb" cables.  Unlike the KWP2000+ that has an AVR inside of it "intelligently" handling communications, these are a simple FTDI USB to serial conversion chip and what you put in is what you get out, etc.  If you read the WHOLE thread in the first link I posted there's quite a lot of info there, and the guy who's doing reflashing with the "dumb" cables has a site of his own and more info there, too.

I have the software loaded on my laptop and will be borrowing a cable so I can jack the file off a tuned t3/t4 1.8t GTI at the shop. I will let you know how that goes.
