There was on OHMT, but more or less just take shit apart and put it back together as clean and well oiled as possible. There arent a whole lot of parts in a turbo, and if you disassemble it yourself, take some pics so you know how it goes back together.  Im sure there are some writeups somewhere, just google "how to rebuild a turbo"

On a side note, I recently had a lengthy conversation with a Borg-Warner research tech, about how quickly turbos will unbalance themselves.  Basically after statically, dynamically, and harmonically balancing one, you can heat/load it up, then recheck the balance after it cools and it will be out.  Not by much, but they attribute it to shaft warpage (cant visibly see it of course).  Interesting tidbit.

I can vouch for G-pop.  I just rebuild a k03 this morning using one of their kits, and they have never done me wrong.

Only time I did it, it felt apart. I mark both sides to so I could have a point to line them back up with. Lasted a hole 3 blocks :?:

i think gpop has them. ive called them before and priced turbine wheels.
altho i never bought them.

looks like ill be calling that guy back.

i gotta make sure the turbo is rebuild able.

i may just go with a 14b.

what does everyone think rebuild a 16g or buy a real 14b.
the 14b should spool faster for my little 1.6. plus i dont run super high boost. ill probably top out at like 10-12 psi

hope this helps.

FYI this dude says he torques them back to 100inch/lbs.  Factory spec for TD05 is 16, I see no reason to tighten that much, but its your turbo so whatever.

16g=10x the turbo of the 14b, but only if you fix the failure internal gate.

well for right now i found a good 14b locally for 70 bucks.
that should take care of the oil leaking into my intake.
we'll see if its a good rebuild job or not.
last time i drove it, it was making noises at full boost. (unhealthy sounding noises)

kinda sounded like a nice spool ssssssssss then to a scraping shhhhhhhh
so like ssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
