I always wondered, if cams are 'regrinds' how do the make the lobes bigger by grinding them? Wouldn't that make them smaller?

You reduce the base circle, so that the lobe is bigger by comparison.

I phoned our local napa and told the ex GM counterperson who works at napa now that I had a customer with a corvair that needed a lower rad hose and his dad had died so get this done quick, I also told him if he didn't have a listing to phone the chevy dealer and find one. He ended up calling GM and then phoned me back
