going to turbo my wagon.
« on: November 14, 2009, 09:59:02 PM »

1990 honda civic wagon 4wd

the car was  coreyRs car some time ago and  since its been my winter beat but  i been lookin at it more and more and seem to like it so  i did some work to it and i am puttin together a  budget kit  for it.

at one point corey had a log with a 57 trim on it and  sold it.

the car now is converted to obd1 it has a z6 head with head studs and we rebuilt the motor  a few years back.

this is how she sits now

i picked this up form some local kid who was in need of money pretty bad.
ebay evo3

HF manifold
adapter plate
stock O2 housing
and this is what i got

not it fits the block  just nice  and i have a parts wagon i  was test fittin on tonight  and it  clears a full size rad and  the stock o2 housing  dont hit the  cross member but it seems i will need a little trim to  get the rest of the down pipe on it  but the wastegate hit the cross member pretty bad so i will have to  play with that. i am tryin to keep it  stock gate.

pickin up a srt 4 intercooler  and some 450s  then i will start to put it all  together

I had to cut the 02 housing on a angle and nig weld a 90 on it to clear the ef x-member even with trimming it, you can see it in the tprc pics.

Neither of my 4th gens have the stock x-member, and my DD is a 6th gen.

Good tidbit of info none the less.

I did something similar with my crx, the stock 02 housing cuts/welds pretty easy for cast. Angle isnt bad either if done properly.

That appears to be a skid plate under the trans/t-case...

The oil pan looks pretty minty.

That's because you've never seen an awd Civic getting raped by Canadians.

I've been keeping an eye out for a manual trans 4wd wagovan local to me for a while.  I want to get one to drive in the winter when I actually make my accord nice.

So ugly its cool wagovan + 4wd + turbo + snowtires = epic snow/gravel/ice/mud car
