New Turbo Setup 97 Civic
« on: March 15, 2009, 03:56:21 PM »

I had posted this on the other site but figured I'd put it here too.

This is my second run on a turbo setup on this car.  Before I had a 42/48 T3 turbo and an fmu.  The first attempt was fun but I want to make some real power now.
I'm hoping to get to 300 whp with this setup.

1997 Honda Civic EX D16y8

Engine...
ARP Headstuds
Eagle Rods
Vitara Std. Bore Pistons
Stock Head
Polyurethane engine mounts filled with Window Weld

Turbo Parts...
CDM 57 trim T3/T4
Turbo Smart 38mm Wastegate
Oil Restrictor
Stealthmode Oil Line Kit
CDM Type RS Bov(I've ordered a Real Type RS that should be here this week)
Cast manifold
DSM 450cc injectors with Resistor Box
Vibrant Vacuum Manifold
Ee Enhanced Boost Controller
Chipped P28 running on basemap
Changed intercooler to a backdoor setup
2.5'' Aluminum/Steel Charge Pipes

Here is a picture of the car.  I need to get the new stickers ;D

Turbo, manifold and wastegate.  I need to figure out what to do for a filter.  There is no space at all

Side View...Looks like a cluster fuck...I have to clean up the engine bay sometime soon.

Money Shot ;D

It's all done for the most part.  Now all I need to do is get it tuned and clean up my install.

Yeah it's all  O0'ed up.  I have to re route the vacuum lines and get some new ground wires.  Engine bay needs a good scrubbing too...

Here's a pic of mine, but ideally you want to pick up ambient air not the same hot ass air that just went thru you intercooler and in as in my case the radiator and the condensor.
