I had a grind into 5th one time but parts are expensive so when my YS1 was apart for the S80 5th swap I just filed the burrs off of the syncro sleeve.

i can rev match any gear up or down with no problems, you fail

Well, I use the clutch instead... It's a worthless fail.  Anyway, shift before 4k rpm is not in my habit ...

You'd be surprised how often people change their MTF...as in never. IIRc it's supposed to be every 2-3 oil changes, and differs on overall milage. I've had instances where fresh OEM MTF fixed all but the worst grinding.

BTW my b16 and my bro's both grind into 5th no matter what - perfect rev match, double-clutch, etc.
