800+HP street S2000
« on: November 29, 2009, 07:12:37 PM »

This is Fernando's car from CFT pulling some high HP Supra's. (music sucks, pulls start at 3:14) The one thing that catches my eye is how much being able to stay in gear helps out in the pulls. Avg. HP at work. What gets me is how fast S2000's have gotten in the last two years. Seems like everyone said fuck it at once, or they are just starting to realize that "an Na engine is bad for boost" is total bullshit. I'm seeing 700+hp engines with completely stock lower ends. Fuck I can't wait to get my Hobart.

A real wing helps out above 110mph. I agree though, my AP1 gets floaty around 130, but it wasn't terrifying up to 155. Rumor has it it starts building lift in the rear around 100.

What sucks is the turbo shit is cheap. It's the S2000's drivetrain that's a nightmare. $$$$$$

That's easy to correct.  Under the car air dam.  Have it pinch down midway to 2/3rds the way down the length of the car, then open up to create a low pressure pocket in the rear of the car.

s2000's are getting popular because used ones can be had cheap since the chassis has been out for awhile. Go back 4+ years ago most people werent willing to go that far with a new s2000.

They still haven't, here.  Locally there've been two swaps (or even builds), only one was middling fast.

Stock Viper, B-series @ 10 psi will pull it steadily.  7-800 whp blown Viper it requires a LOT more of a Honduh, and really depends on driver.  Past that, or even at that level on slicks, the Viper will destroy about any Honda.  They are pretty stout vehicles if you can afford one.

I'm goin  to head south this summer with the hatch and met up with JACKFL for some interstate pulls. Look him up on Streetfire...... SRSLY I hot a twin disc on the way with tax return and 200 shot of sprray on a timer thanks Charles at TOPENDUSA

Must suck to need a 200 shot to make H series powerz, from a H series  :-X

My money says your motor disintegrates on it... But since you have no intention on REALLY do ing it anyway, I bid you poorly played sir, BTW the only way your 488 WHPzzzz outran a tt Viper is if you were in blue dash dreamy land.  Or he ran out a gas......

This, i have seen what a supercharged viper on slicks can do. and with turbo's. that just sounds even crazier.

Don't know many 10psi B's that will run an 11 flat, and trap 129mph.

From a roll, in a car that weighs 800lbs less than your car (fat fucking driver not included), a 400+ wtq Civic is capable of sticking with 175 whp liter bikes, and probably a medium power 700 whp stock engine Viper, especially if someone other than Jeremy was driving.  You'd never get it off the line credibly, but from a roll, maybe.

That is still a second too slow. Fastest b on 10psi I have seen ran 11.4@124.

I'm at 3000ft elevation, so my estimation may be skewed as turbos overcome thin air @ altitude.  Also, Trav-ASS' Integra had all the right parts to push 350+ whp at 10 psi.

If said "488whp Civic" weighed like 2200lbs  then i could believe it a bit more... a car that light with that much power should trap 135mph+... i use the word "Should" because it doesnt always work like that

For refrence i went 11.80@120 off Wg which was about 9.5psi in a 2600lb integra with a 57trim...
