As far as the safc goes, I got it from a friend. He needed money, and I was just gonna be out 50 bones, so he gave this up. People have been doing it for years, I really don't see the problem.

That's because you're a fucking idiot.

Enjoy advancing timing under boost.

honestly we are giving you good advise.  you probably already have a obd1 car/ecu.  get it chipped for cheaper than you bought that safc..

sell the safc on ebay

buy chip kit from paul for $13

download crome free and be done.

honestly, i would even sell the safc and get a 12:1 fmu and a msd btm.  but who am i to tell you?

If you can't afford a burner then at least get the ecu chipped with a basemap. Then you can use the safc for some fine tuning if you really find it necessary. If you use dsm 450's your going to be pulling 44% ish of fuel from the ecu by tricking it into thinking there is less air than there is. When you do this the computer automatically advances timing causing a lean condition and detonation. Which will destroy your motor in no time.
A brand new burner and chip kit from moates is only $101

Lookee there gonna get the hookup!
Your build is otherwise fairly sound however your choice of engine management is currently terrible. Listen to the guys. Engine management is probably the most vital part of your build.

P.S. If you keep shitting on people that know what they are talking about and have multiple builds under there belt is one of the quickest ways to get banned from here. We want people that want to learn and have something to offer not just a bunch of unknowlegable douche bags. Don't believe me look for a guy named 1/2cocked he has a for sale post.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ You can do a minor +/-5% fuel correction on a decent basemap and be fine as the timing skew is negligible.

How can you compare afc's to log manifolds. Every manifold has it's place depending on car and goals. Afc's have no place in the Honda world. If you want to compare ems to manifolds, then Crome is the fence post manifold and ectune is a top mount. That's where your desicions should be made, not to chip or not to.

First of all, fuck you guys. I am deleting that myspace account. Stalker fags.

Second, I don't know when you guys are fucking around or not, and it seems you can't tell when I am either. I was being sarcastic  about the hater shit and the REAL  rhmt setup. Jesus Christ.

ANd I am more then likely going to use this safc, so stop bitching. I see where you are coming from, but fuck it. If/when the motor goes, it goes. One day I will do a chipped ECU, but I want to get this damn thing boosted.

Dude, you have quite a few very knowledgable people telling you that the afc hack is a poor excuse for engine management. I mean jesus fucking christ someone even said they would use an FMU over the AFC. If you're just going to shit on people's good ,fuck that, awesome advice. then you should leave here and go somewhere else because you are a hopeless noob who doesn't know good advice when it slaps you in the face. These people are trying to HELP YOU!  Trying to ensure you enjoy your car and don't destroy the motor. If you understood the dynamics of a honda ecu and how it works you wouldn't even consider the AFC. But hey do what you want. We will expect carnage pics when you blow the motor though. This is all your gonna need if you decide to hang around using an AFC.
