yeah, it used to be teal green, and only ran in the 13's at the street legals, but managed a best time of 12.19 at 114 or something, at the ford WEAKend

Fucking catilina wine mixer.

lol, saw that recently. It's the fucking catilina wine mixer!@

That car's actually kinda cool. Aside from the massive intercooler, that could win some money if you tried some street races. Very unassuming - mainly because it's a Festiva. A friend in HS loved his, because he drop karts semi-pro...it was the closest he could find to a street legal kart.

The owner used to be a big VW guy, he had a 6-700hp vr6 golf, cage and wheelie bars, ran in the outlaw class, but at the time the tuning tools were lame and the engine would always run on the ragged edge.  It was featured in a couple of EuroFag Tuner mags, the car was called Goldmember... He smartened up after wasting a bunch of money/time and 3rd/4th gears in the shitty VW tranny's.  He's better off now, he's spent 1/50th the cash and time, and will go faster in the festiva next season than the VW ever did.  Low 11's i think.  Trap speed, well that's a different story, i can't see a festiva trapping high 130's without it tearing itself to pieces.  This car is scary as is; lane changes are accomplished by holding the wheel tight, matting the gas, and just letting the car torque steer wherever it wants to.  Fuck.

I'm hoping to put a civic harness/distributor in this slut and ditch the VAF, and tune it dirty on the crome.  He's piecing together a meth kit, using a Heineken mini keg as the reservoir.  gonna be bad ass.

Just saying, you can snap a cam angle sensor from a miata in that motor and use a megasquirt to tune it. Very cheap, very easy.

Oh yeah, BP FTMFW!!!

Festivas are the fucking shit. Those things do work and are very popular in South America. Pretty much an equivalent of a CRX down there.

That would be a step backwards :P

Tell your friend to sign up to rhmt, he sounds like he'd fit right in - at least since he doesn't have a VW now.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
The goal was to go 12s for under 2500.00 last year....this year its 11s for 3000.00. Doable with water meth+more boost+timing should get us there! And if not.....who cares, its a 3000.00 ford festiva!
We should be ready to go honda dist, ecu and harness in the next couple of weeks.

I love fastiva's.. I remember reading about this swap ages ago in sport compact car..

Next you should try the AWD system from the 323 gtx! Then you'll really be killing!
