Hi.

I was told to join this forum. I have lurked for many years. Then The Wizard convinced me to join.

Being that there is few people who I have found who ventured into this realm, I am having some issues.

At first, The manifold and turbo clearing the block. After hours of research, I ordered a 4 bolt Turbine Housing instead of the 5 bolt. Suppose to gain 3/4-1" of block clearance.

Now, I am having alternator issues. Originally it was with the AC spot. Now I need to move it up to allow clearance.

Talked to ESP about a alternator bracket relocation. But, I think I can get a 89-91 D Series 3 rib on their with a little frame massaging. Waiting on an alternator.

Here is a package I sent JD. :)

Well, its been alittle while since I have updated this. Been super busy chipping ecu's and making harnesses along with my daughter growing up and getting married in July.

Anyways, some asshole stole a pair of my Jmags that were on the rear while I was doing my rear disc.

Also, got a stellar deal on the HKS Hipermax Pro Coilovers from Battle Monkey. They were super mint. Appreciate it man.

Threw them on, finished up my rear disc.

Got a stupid deal on EBC Slotted rotors and EBC pads ($80). Replaced all the rear calipers and brackets too.

Got everything mounted up and put back together.

Also, traded straight up for a Kevlar Duckbill. My carbon one came with the car so... FREEBIE!  :)

Anyways, thats about it for now. Got the PLM seat rails put on and Sparco Mounted.

For the record, I wouldnt buy another seat rail from PLM if my life depended on it. Fitment was pure shit.

Switched directions unfortunately.

Got tired of sinking money in the Hatch and never driving it. Mainly because didnt feel safe enough for my 11mo daughter to be in. (People in my city are extremely aggressive and shitty drivers.)

So, I went back to an EG Sedan. Sold off the hatch and picked up a F2B Sedan.

Just finished 5 lug as well.

Here is some progress pictures:

Had a chance to pick up a couple of cans of SEM Interior Paint/Dye.

Took all the upper panels out and got them set up for black.

Also picked up a Recaro Lemans SRD Seat aka Confetti.

Not much else new since I have an ongoing sinus infection. Waiting on new carpet and rear lca's.

^hey hey. actually going to be using your writeup(s) shortly for heated seats and rear edm foglight (real one, not poormans.).

Anyways, havent really updated this thread in a little bit.

Got some EK Sedan sideskirts for it.

NRG QR and Short Hub are on order. Waiting on my wheel to come from Japan.

Ceelx's rear edm fog light landed. Just waiting on switch.

Still trying to hunt down some mid offset 15/16" 5 lug wheels. Not having a huge amount of luck with finding the perfect set.

Pictars!

New EK Sedan Skirts. NO CUTTING REQUIRED. 2 front and 2 rear holes mounted perfect, Only modification needed was the last rear underpin needed to have a hole drilled 1" further towards the center of the car.

Also, instead of painting, used Turtle Wax's Trim Restore. Dont like the feel of painted shit. Doesnt look legit.

Been super busy over the holidays and today being my daughter's birthday. She turned 1 today. :)

Anyways, my super awesome wife got me the missing piece to my puzzle, a NRG QR. Everyone should have a wife like mine. :)

Went the extra step to make sure my horn works as well for those asshole drivers. ;)

So without further ado:

So, its been quite a while since I have updated this. Only alittle bit of has changed.

Got the engine bay cleaned up quite a bit.

Sent the hood spacers and valve cover off to get powder coated to match J's Racing Color. :)

Picked up a Skunk2 Intake Manifold and bought a 70mm Skunk2 Throttle Body and Thermal Gaskets.

Just finished port matching the Intake Manifold to the TB. Hopefully this weekend they will go on.

Got a ferio wing coming this weekend and trying to track down a EG9 cluster.

There is a K&N that fits over the stack in the back seat.

I have yet to find a plug to fill the hole in the pipe yet. Been to Home Depot and Lowes and a few hardware stores. No grommets as of yet. :(

Also, its a F20b so, F2B.

Its awesome man. Itll spin 1/2nd with matting it to the floor. Fixing to put this on there:

Got some work done this past weekend.

Got the intake manifold port matched and cleaned up the castings on the runners.

Ended up with:

Skunk2 Intake Manifold
Skunk2 70mm Alpha TB
Skunk2 Thermal TB Gasket
GE Thermal IM Gasket

Had to get alittle creative with the fuel rail as I retained the stock setup. Ended up boring out the holes in the fuel rail so the mounting studs would go through.

Then had issues with the studs being too long and not threaded enough. Solved that issue with some creativity and "cool" points.

Aside from that, definitely tell a difference. Throttle response is 100% better (had a idle issue prior).

Also scored a spoiler. Not the real deal, but for $50, why not?

Havent updated much yet, been busy.

Had some issues with the factory prelude alterantor fitting.

So, I read somewhere on the internet that a CD Accord F22 Alternator bracket was lighter then a Factory Prelude Bracket.

Picked one up at LKQ for $12. It is MUCH lighter then a H22. Also, without obliterating my frame rail, I had to switch alternators.

Ended up with a 3 rib 89-91 Civic.

I called a company, which will remain unnamed about their bracket. Guy told me I would have to buy his special bracket, QSD BS Kit, and all this trimming and shit.

Fuck that. Measured how much clearance I needed, went to AZ and found my alternator. Couple of hits on the frame rail, and my alternator fits. Its tighter than a virgins gash on clearance, but it works. $80 < $300.  Went from 90amps to 60amps, oh well. Because turbo.

Thanks Man!

I had those sitting on a shelf for the better part of 4 years now. I use to own a AE86 back in the day and was planning on using them. Then sold it for way cheaper then I should have.

They are actually Truck Bushings for a Skateboard.

Since I put my Precision 680's in though, I removed them as the werent needed.

Yep, Koseis are Black. 15x7 +35.

I am not quite ready to sell them, have to recover after the turbo setup. If you'd like, I let you know first though.

I would love to run 949 6ULs, but I am 5 lug. :(

Seriously been contemplating going back to 4 lug but then I'd have to change axles as well as I am 36mm axles or go with aftermarket K style hubs.

Kinda shitty 949 doesn't make 5 bolt but I understand the reason behind 949.

So now I am stuck with high end dollar wheels. :( Literally no one makes 15x8 mid offsets unless its Rays/Volk.

They trim paint is SEM Landau Black. Said to be an exact replica of EG Black.

The Recaro is original. It's a Recaro SR3 Le Mans aka Confetti.

Passenger seat is Del Sol and rear is factory. Actually was contemplating dying the rear seats or going back to gray interior.

fucking right.

No real updates yet.

Installed my DIY Map Sensor.

Started mocking up the intercooler.

Got the hood back on with the additional spacers. Still need to trim alittle for the map sensor to clear.

IC Piping was delayed one day from Go Autoworks. So crossing my fingers I can scoop it tomorrow from Fedex, if not, it will be here Monday.

Only thing that is out of my hands is the fucking oil return.

Got the measurements and angle that I needed for the return line. Sent it to one fabricator and the prick had it for 4 days and never touched it.

So I picked it up and took it to another shop, and fuck me running, I missed their fab guy by 2hrs and he is gone for the week.

Sooo I took it to another Fab guy I know who builds Rat Rods :) and he said it could potentially be done tomorrow and if not, it will be done Monday.

So tomorrow's agenda since the wife is off:

-Cut Bumper Support and mount up the IC.
-Try and scoop the Piping.
-Trim the bumper.
-Bolt on 4 Bolt to V Band adaptor
-Relocate my Fuel Filter until my pieces for my tuck come in.
-Drop the Pan and tap that bitch like a free for all on a thai hooker.

So, here's a picture since I dont have any new shit from my car.

Sorry n/a mike, not into fat chicks.

Nothing majorly new.

Trimmed up the bumper and mounts the IC. Not sure if I am going to leave it this way or flip it. Depends on how Greg at Go Autoworks made my piping.

Also, pick up my flange tomorrow as well. So hopefully if the fucking weather holds out, I could be finished and ready for the exhaust shop tomorrow.  O0

So, I am a few days behind on posts.

Anyways, Here's the scoop;

Got the pan done. Had an excuse to go buy step drill bits. :)

Started out as an adapter fitting on the inside of the pan. Being that it would hit the windage tray, I shaved off all but the nut and JB welded the inside as well.

Pan was painted with 3M Professional Undercoating to help spot any leaks. I usually do this to all pans that I remove to help with finding leaks, if any.

Got my piping in from Greg at Go Autoworks.

Everything for the most part fit like a glove, with the exception of the 180* pipe on the hotside. Needs 1" removed, no biggie.

Bumper all trimmed up and piping mounted.

No its not. Similar setup but JD uses a black 4 post lift. And the dyno is black.

Unfortunately I wasnt able to make it to JD due to the long ass road between us. Trying to make it up there towards the end of June.

I ended up at Jdogg's aka Jason Wadsworth.

We have to head back and retune it. The ef alternator and 3 rib belt had some slippage when vTAKKK hit. Some; lets just say we burnt a rib off and drove home an 1.5hrs on 1.5ribs and it was upside down...

I am trying to head back up there tomorrow for a retune on Neptune. Got the kinks worked out of the alternator (Future reference to anyone who reads this; stock location, f23 bracket, h22 alt, b series pulley, trimming the nub on the end of the rod, and alittle massaging the frame rail.)

It made 338whp before we quit.

Going to step up to 8's and aiming for 380whp.

Keep in mind, still has balance shaft belt and bone stock from Oil pan to VC.

Unfortunately, the 680cc's piece of shits I got were all clogged/seized/dead. Put them on the cleaner and 2 worked, 1 half ass worked, and the other was just dead.

I ended up dropping 4 additional beans on a new set of ID1k's and harnesses before even getting on the dyno..... :(

See if you can get a refund, my IN1000's are direct replacements and nearly $200 cheaper.

At least it's making great power already and holding it pretty far. 200wtq from 5k to 8k is not bad for a stock motor & partial tune.

Very far from stock.

Laid 472whp iirc on Jdoggs dyno.

CP Pistons
Ported/Polished Head
Greddy Manifold
Q45 TB
Z Brakes
D2 Coils
GT32 Garrett Turbo
Koyo Radiator
SPAL Fans
Greddy FMIC
Greddy BOV
HKS Exhaust

fuck man I could go on forever.

Best part...

Scored it for $5k.

Guy said he thought the starter was bad or potentially a ignition switch.

Drove 2 hours and picked up an OEM one. Worked flawless after I cut out some bullshit alarm and resoldered everything.

Then had fuel issues. Pump was gunked the fuck up. Stole the Sedans brand new Walbro and put it in here. Replaced the Fuel filter and purged the fuel system and voila.

Has a slight miss and noisey in the top end, but runs. Can beat $5k for it lol.

I dont quite get the fuel pump situation myself.

I snagged the walbro from the sedan and put it in there.

Reached around in the S14 tank and no symptoms that would cause that muck ass shit. No sediments or anything.

Either way, she's idling good now. FP Gauge is gummed up I think. Its not reading any pressure, gonna replace it tomorrow and snag some 235/45/17's and then I will snap some pictures for you all.

She is an ugly duckling at the moment.

I have a complete build and break down, just says new oil pump. I caught a glimpse in a search of their oil pumps being garbage but havent read up on it.

The early RB26 motors had crank snouts that were undersized for the oil pumps, would cause harmonic issues and shatter oil pump gears at high rpm. IDK if RB25 has the same problem.

Ah ok.

So I could assume that's why the list has a machined crank collar and balanced crankshaft on it then. Possibly to help with the oil pump issue?

The crank collar is the other fix to the problem, aside from going to an aftermarket pump.
