well, this guy is no different. i just cannot afford the time to deal with unreliable and disrespectful people. he didn't come back to do the paint and didn't feel it important enough to call or send an email to let me know what's up. i've already got a friend i trust getting me some paint. i'll pick up a gun and do it myself.

the shitty part for him is that now he owes me $600 for a turbo manifold for his bike if he wants it back. the original agreement was for him to paint the bay and floor inside in exchange for a turbo setup on his bike. a pretty good deal considering i had already done all the fill work on the bay. all he's done to this point is sand/clean it and spray some primer.

Sounds like a hell of a deal. I am a painter of sorts, not your typical alcoholic, slack ass car painter. I have done lots of cars though so I know what goes into it.

that sucks about your painted usually its not painters haha its just the person themselves, when someone asks me to do something i usually get it done before they expect it or when i told them. but i dont paint at work at all, frame,sheetmetal work and MUD, paint at home, well hope you can pull it off! its a bay and its white should be a no brainer, base/clear im assuming?

my friend just dropped off some paint for me.  5 cans of color matched enamel and a can of base.  i'm going to use the bombs in the bay and the can of base in the car on the floor as it won't need clear.

basecoat with no clear wont last. it needs something to seal it

any paint that comes from a rattle can is shit, you need to buy a gun and mix some up with hardner/reducer. You will thank me later, the premix bombs are not the same.

Yeah, you really should just spray it with a gun and skip the bombs.  Its only the engine bay Aaron, just paint it yourself.

base clear is the only way your work in the bay will be able to be noticed, white base/clear shaved bays are nice.
