I hope those are both, after shots. Because if that is before and after, you wasted your time doing that.

Looks it to me, most b-series blocks have webbing or large ribs on them.

Wow! You cleaned a block that you are going to do nothing with.

Correct, two hours ago I dropped the block off with a machinist who promised to make up for my slack in exchange for dollars.

When it get's back from the "machinist", it will look great on the coffee table in your double wide.

So now we are going to need a back-story on this paperweight. What's the "plan" if any for this thing?

So it should be up front right nest to or behind the exhaust manifold so that the oil can be superheated like failboat Toyotas?

Okay.

Okay.

4G63s have them at the oil pan level offset under the alternator, well away from the mani. So yeah, like failboat yotas if you like, but there are much better areas to strategically place a filter port. And futher more, when you unscrew the filter, it's going to leak oil all over the skirt of the block. Seems like fail bomber Yamaha style engineering to me.

I fail to see how it is such an inconvenient location or why it matters.

Carry on.

So JD, whose car are you vicarously living your hopes and dreams through now?  Still imagining you own goforths car, as I haven't seen you mention him lately like you used to, when every other post was "wel goforth's crx"  "xxx works goo, look at goforths crx..."   Don't worry JD, one day, when we're both dead, we'll be in heaven racing in the sky, and you'll have a full head of hair and live in a spacious double wide.  Dream, dream old man, dream.

And I have been called a bitch because I hate snow and cold weather in general?

Have you ever done an oil change on a Honduh with the obviously inferior oil filter location, or are you just talking out your ass.  I must assume the latter.  It is no big deal, and if it wre to bother you enough to bitch and moan about it, then maybe you ought to pay 16 year olds at Jiffy Lube to change it for you.

There are far more inconvenient locations, I assure you.
