I know this is basically common knowledge, but as a reminder: don't use the fucking torque specs from Haynes manuals.
The transmission-to-engine bolt torque should supposedly be 85ft-lbs according to them for an Integra. I thought it sounded a bit too high but said fuck it and went for it anyway. Stripped one of the bolt holes out. They said 65ft-lbs for Civic/CRV so I negotiated and torqued them all to 70ft-lbs.
Looked at the FAQ on another Honda forum and it listed 45ft-lbs! Must undo tomorrow.
I should have known better since the first time I did a car repair and the dizzy diagram had the dizzy-to-cylinder numbers off...
Also if anyone remembers a long, long time ago when my CRX wouldn't go into gear once the engine was running after the night before where it POPPED trying to put it in reverse, then drove fine...tore it apart today and the metal around the springs on the pressure plate had shattered in a few places.
