why didn't you order new spring rings???

im looking online right now, and i'm not seeing where i can order just the rings for each syncro.  I found the 50mm ring spring that i can order separate but the others are part of a gear set or the syncro set.

EDIT:

found them on gearspeed

the countershaft took a little bit of maneuvering along with the diff in order to get it to fit.  the 5.15 gear is HUGE.

mmmmmmmmmmmmm

really glad i decided to do the syncro's.  The old ones are decent but definitely showing wear.

spring rings are on order.

The rebuild and upgrades, about two grand so far.

Try having three SOHC trannys in your car to deliver, their total worth was over $8000.

with the LSD, FD, syncros, rings - about 1500.  The clutch addition brought it to 2500.

Ya man youre good... None of mine have that shit... redline LW shockproof ftw  ! Looks like a nicely upgraded trans.

My syncros will be here tomorrow, Just got off the phone with COMP. They have completely redesigned their clutch disks... again

full face friction (not a "puck" design, thicker plate and harder hubs (50 rockwell) and the hubs grap the entire input shafts splines... Not hang over the ends anymore.  Ill have pics later in the week when I stuff it together

I love redline, it is fantastic. Ive used the royal purple and it was alright but the redline really made my high rpm shifts way easier, no more lockout. That's on the evo though.

i got a question.  My reverse gear (1/2 selector) looks like it has had better days.  It was hard to get a good picture of it:

what do you think?

I'm going to take apart the other countershaft tomorrow and see if the gears/hubs/sliders are any better.

Also, what torque spec are you guys using on the diff bolts?  Honda spec?  I dunno if i lost the papers or not, but i didnt see anything in my box as far as torque specs go.

Has it ever given you any trouble?  It isn't like you're ever slamming it into reverse either.  If it were me i'd just stay focused on the forward gears unless it's been giving you trouble.

nah, it hadn't given me any problems before but i might as well pick the better of the two while i have it torn apart.  Need to do the same thing with the rest of the gears, but i would like to be able to see a brand new gear so i know exactly what i should be looking for as far as picking one over another.

sorry, my terminology is not completely grounded yet.  I called it the slider because it moves up and down LOL.  I need the sleeve.  I made a WTB post in the transmission area of HT and i got a PM that told me the B and H use the same 1/2 sleeve.  Is there any truth to this?  I find it unlikely when the link you just provided said it only fits B trannies.
