Fmu+ 3psi= super FAIL!

Actually, with the FMU it was 8PSI, then the FMU took a shit so I took it off and ran just stock fuel system on 3 psi.

Small update. Head is on and awaiting a torque.

Valve cover has been shaved, holes filled with luminum, and 5/8 inch breather ports going to my breather tank.

The only thing I'm semi worried about is the tune portion of this whole build.

I was probably just going to use your map you gave me years ago Brian and see where that takes me. It should fire up no problem. no?

Update:

Motor runs.

Couple things left.

Fix oil line (Leaks a little), build cold charge pipe, finish exhaust. Little shit, but main thing is it runs and everything fits.

I'll have pics up later.

Oil line is still leaking. I'm beat after a long week as it is. I've just decided to order some new feed line and fittings to smoothen things out. Anyways here's how it looks.

I dig it. Its homemade without being horribly ghetto. Low cost, good results and self done.
Did you run it with out the new cover? The black one looks much cooler then the one that reminds everyone thats its got V-TAK

The welds on the turbo got a little fucked up, I didn't realize you could weld steel to aluminum like that so I gave it a whirl.  O0

I tried clocking it however I could to make it fit best. Turns out the back side of the compressor is so close to the exhaust manifold making it difficult to clock it to some positions.

As for the car, had to order some more shit. So still waiting on that.

Car is a beast though and pulls like a fucking champ. I'm not used to the laggy turbo though. I get 10lbs at about 3500 which isn't bad considering the old turbo built full boost by 2500.

Finally got all the fucking leaks fixed. Turns out the oil pan was leaking so had to drop that bitch again.

I have one other picture at the moment of the weld. Not the greatest but it needed a shit load of heat and plenty of luminum to go around. NO LEAKS TOO.

I would have ripper vids by now, but the fucking coupler keeps blowing off. I bought some silicones with t-bolts and should have them soon so I'll one up ASAP. The bitch pulls like a charm though.

Update.

Did a second, third, 4th gear rip and blew out cylinder. Motor runs, smokes through the VC, and cylinder 4 has 75 compression.

Time for a rebuild. FUKK

Nice shit Brian.

I'm still driving the car, it still pulls hard at 14PSI; but I dunno what I'm going to do this next time around.

Prolly just do a stock rebuild on the f23.
