so you want to make the axle angle worse?

or the UCA smack the fender harder?

i was hoping thats what this thread was going to be....

im looking into the same thing... not to make my car lower, just to make it more functional at the current height (CRX/ED8 chassis)...

as far as price?
i have seen:
BC Racing
J's Racing
SPOON
MFactory
HardRace

found HardRace for cheaper

I asked the roadrace/autocross folks about them.....they are still laughing.

My ball joints are crap after only 30k miles and I can not compete in auto-x next year with shitty ball joints.

Also I notice at the ride level I have front end at the lower control arms are almost horizontal and like the lca to have a little more angle(rest height).

I use to just grab a McQuay-Norris or Moog book and look at the back of it and compare dimensions, save a lot of money.

I'm sure that is what most of these tuner shops do and then put them in their own boxes.  :noel:

Does the honda front suspension really need "increased camber activity" ? My understanding of honda front ends is mostly related to turning left. If was to want more camber activity i would toss a couple washers under the uca mounting bolts making the camber ramp up faster. Without changing axle angle

I use 2deg camber in front at auto-x setting ht.

0.5 deg camber for DD ht.

If you do drag racing, JD and other will remind you to set your camber to 0 deg. for the ht. when your car shifts wt. at launch. (when your frt ht is at it's highest)  :noel:

Thanks for the links  :noel:

Cheapest I've found so far are these.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Megan-Racing-Roll-Center-Ball-Joints-Civic-92-00-EG-EK-Integra-94-01-DC2-/260857323160?hash=item3cbc4ede98&item=260857323160&pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr

And since these guys have them, tells me the are doing exactly what I stated earlier.  :noel:

Now I need to find some chassis parts books stat.  :noel:

they lower the car.

That is a secondary function.  The main purpose is to raise the roll center back up after lowering ride height.  Reduce the distance between the roll center and the center of gravity (roll couple), and you will reduce the roll rate.

Just how effective are they?  I have no idea.

If it was worth it, the road racers would be using them.

You are better off running sphericals if your class rules allow.

Ask people who NEED to correct suspension angles, like Spec-V guys with over an inch of drop. 88-01 Civic/teg suspensions don't need their roll centers corrected.

Yeah, mostly mac struts.  With those, once the control arms start sitting horizontal, they produce positive camber on compression as well.

I need to learn how to calculate roll centers so I can figure it out for my accord.

It's pretty damn easy once you have all of the proper dimensions.

http://performancetrends.com/rc.htm  <- roll center calculator
http://performancetrends.com/SuspAnzr.htm <- Suspension Analyzer

I use these programs when i would setup the suspension on my circle track cars.

Really neat to play with regardless.

Yeah, I need to measure a bunch of things.  I'll be getting in there a bunch this spring, so I'll measure what I need to then.  I really only want to know where lowering starts to actually mess things up handling-wise.  Car doesn't look right at the stock height.  Not trying to be a ricer, but having like 4 inches of fender gap in the front kinda sucks.

Ride height on a distributor Honda has no effect on center of gravity with respect to handling increase - law of diminishing returns, yo - all this does is allow the hellaflush faggots to almost handle as well as a stock vehicle with good tires that's been lowered 1/2".

Are you a hellaflush faggot, Russ?  Yes or no?

No, not hella flush.

I need to put in new ball joints again and I saw those and was surprise at the cost.

When I know that those joints root cost is a lot lower.

I see some benifits as far as keeping the lower control arms at an angle down closer to normal.  :noel:

Lol.  That is an older pic of my turd.  Decided to turn the perches all the way down after the Ebaich Pro Street S install.

I assure you it didn't stay like that for long.

Those are Lowerit's tires. The plan was for me to borrow his auto-x tires and him borrow my drag slicks.
