92_eg_c1's build thread UPDATED 2013
« on: January 19, 2012, 12:18:37 AM »

Dont know if i really wanna post my old post but whatever.

As some of you may remember, i posted this build a few months ago before rhmt lost some data. Thought i might share it agian from beginning to start. I started off with a single cam vtec. d16z6 i got for a good deal. Always always wanted to do a hmt setup and then years later i find RHMT so i thought fuck it im gonna slap some shit together and see what happens. enjoy.

OH AND YES I DID MAKE A NEW INTRO THREAD.  8)

edit//

This was a fun project to do. but sadly i had to cut it short. im in need of money so now im forced to sell the motor tomorrow and probably throw the full turbo kit on craigslist within a few days. sad to see it go cus even though it doesnt look like much i put alot of bs sweat and tears into this damn project. but anyways i didnt make any new videos when i maxed the turbo at 14psi. that shit was gangster as fuck. full boost at around 3200rpm all the way to redline (7000rpm) shit was a really fucking fun ass street car to drive. welll thats my ghetto nigg build for ya.

My next project will probably be something bigger and better. might throw in the b20 in the hatch and go b20vtec turbo. ill keep this thread updated with bs. thanks for lookin my niggs

About 6 months after i sold the single v turbo i took my stock b20z out of integra and stuck it in the hatch. B20 block, GSR tranny. Needed a head so i asked around and finally found one. Pretty much after that, i bought crower 403's, dual valve springs and tit. retainers, skank2 cam gears, thermo intake manifold gasket, blox intake manifold,67mm STR tb,1000cc precision injectors, HKS bov and other random shit. just picked up an intercooler and piping the other day. mocked everything up and now its pretty much ready to go.

Thermo gasket

Didn’t fit

hard to see the extended studs but its there.

Old setup vs new

 :noel: " i support single moms "

exhaust

intake

pretty much done with the new setup. i have new pictures as soon as it stops snowing. still need a fuel pump, catch can,tap my oil pan and little other misc shittt. let me know what you guys think....

My goal is 350whp built head stock block. I just hope i dont have too much lag?... kinda scared of my stock b20 rod bolts snapping but that was my mistake to not have the block beef up before i through it together. I should have gotten a smaller turbo but watever. fuck it. lol  :noel:

Im havin mixed emotions on the walbro 255. alot of people are saying ill be fine and others are saying i need to get one.

http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/features/0206ht_honda_fuel_systems/index.html

^ says i dont need a fuel pump, i know i shouldn't believe everything i read but what do you guys honestly think? Do i really need a fuel pump? even with my 1000s?

yep, i have used that write up before too...

you can try the stock pump, but its a waste of time. if i remember right JR (EM1 w/H22) made 250whp and maxed out a DOHC pump. should get more from it if you rewire it (did that to the del sol), basically overclocks it giving it a full 14v...

only thing i would change about that write up is leave the relay inside the car. As far as the pump its hit or miss. some pumps will flow enough for 300hp some shit out early. what sort of fuel pressure are you going to run?

I just saw something about injector size vs pump combos. They had a sidebar saying Walbro pumps car vary by 15%, so I can see stockers with greater variance. In any case, get the walbro but don't spend a week rewiring it. If you're maxing your pump out and can tune out higher fuel pressure, then go for it. If you're running high base pressure, then you definitely will want to rewire.

Aren't supra pumps physically too big? Ask JD, he knows where to get a CDM pump that will work for half the price. You will have to sell your soul to buy it though.

I use one from ebay that is the same source as xenocrackhead.  :noel:

Cost me $50 each, I have two.

With stock FPR I wash pegging 200psi gauge, had to get a aftermarket FPR.  :noel:

Might have over exaggerated a little on that part haha but lynnwood is hot. Right before we were gonna do 3rd gear and 4th gear pulls a cop always passes us. The main road next to my house is pretty much the only stretch i got around lynnwood. Need to hit the dyno soon after i fix my alt. wiring and get a new oil feed line my ghetto lowes hose line is all that crackin haha

I think it was like 5k full boost @ 10lbs with no knocks no nothinggg, NOT toooo bad. i didnt mind it at all except for my redline being 7k lol my tuner said 8k would be fine but i wanted to be on the safe side for now. Still need to hit a dyno.

lol, lynnwood cops are rough.

i was doing pulls out by my place, on a lake stevens/sno county/wsp patrolled highway. i swear every time i would get back down to the speedlimit i would fly passed one.

you see the NW RHMT Dyno day thread? all else fails, you can just make some pulls that day... or do some more lol. but be there either way!
