Fix that gay ass intercooler situation Levi... The MT Dragradials FAIL... MISERABLY by comparison to the M&Hs...

Ask me how I know....  Mitch insisted on the MTs... tried them, and I talked him into the M&Hs when he needed a new set... He too insists there is no comparison.

26" tall tires just really weren't meant to fit under civics.

With a sawzall I made 38.5" super swamper sx's fit an 85 Toyota with NO lift. I had a little rubbing till I cut the hood. You can make almost anything fit, but why?

I don't see the need for a 26" tall tire on a civic, especially when it will run slicks at the track.

Nobody cared I smashed a r6 anyway & kept up with a 1000 anyway.

I have the video but it sucks. I will edit it so that its not 5 minutes long.

Email back from FJO, I am going to relocate the ground and check for ignition power or ecu power. ( I actually think that it is wired from ecu power( because i didnt have key on when I was checking for power) The ground is off the valve cover(then at same location it goes to strut tower)
EMAIL

The driver allows peak and hold injectors to draw up to 4 amps at which point they should be open and the driver limits the current to 1amp to hold the injector open. At a certain point you will get injector overlap and you will begin to see an increase in the current that the box requires to drive the injectors. As you reach the higher end of your duty cycle, the power required will begin to decrease because the injectors are open for longer periods but are in the holding stage (1amp). The box should be wired to a constant 12v supply that gets turned on with the ignition key and not the ECU. It is possible that what you are seeing is a power problem during higher current demand (bad 12v supply or bad ground). In cases of a power issue it's impossible to say what you can expect.

Is your motor running in closed loop with a wideband? If it is, it is possible that the wideband is sending bad data to the ECU causing it to stumble because it is trying to adjust fuel. If a sensor suddenly gives a false rich or lean signal and the ECU adjusts, you could see a similar problem. Since most ECU's automatically go open loop at idle and WOT, it would revert to your preset table - which may explain why you only see the problem at part throttle. Just something to watch out for.

This is not a symptom we have see as a result of a malfunction with the injector driver box.

So you never grounded it at the engine?  Why do you not ground your crucial electronics at the engine, Levi?

I believe that valve cover ground is one of the weakest grounds there is. The VC gasket and grommets don't necessarily conduct electricity that well. Ground this shit at the block, and run a +12V power wire out of a swtiched ignition source that's not used much, such as high beam headlight current, unless it has too much amperage for your device.

More details of the 1000cc fury please?

Dear Fucktard, you've read enough of my posts to know there is only ONE ground in an automotive electrical system.  Grounds are not a shade of grey.  "One of the weakest," you might as well be talking about your grasp of eletricity.

Well,

I just went through all my connections, no cut wires, no bare wires, soutered all connections.

Changed my ground to the intake manifold stud, and changed power to DIRECT from the key/ignition switch( ignition power only when key is on in running position).

And I am still having the same problems.

Do you think it is a faulty ground issue( I have no ground wire going from battery to motor)

fucking gay

any other ideas?

  • Never alone, Never again. (NA)

There is only one thing I've read spiker say that I truly back, and that is keep things as simple as possible.

I always see people having issues when they go from OEM ignition parts to MSD type stuff unless it's a baller stand alone setup like DTA or MoTec. Why did you diverge from the proven OEM ignition? The more things you change, the more issues you will have. I've learned that the hard way.. luckily I have another car to drive right now until the kinks are worked out.  good luck O0
