Ill probably just cut the exhaust of in front of the cross member for now, and take it on its maiden run open header. And then put a little \_/ in the exhaust to go around the crossmember. Will look at it more today.

Just got a call from Jerry @ Kitsap Drivelines. My shaft is now shorter.....

Have to go pick it up this afternoon. Hes leaving @ 4 to go on vacation for a week. Glad I got it to him when I did. Not to bad of a price for a shorten and balance. $85

Yes sir..... Exhaust cut, driveline in, trans all bolted up, dizzy stabbed back in, trans lines cleared out and hooked back up, vacuum line for trans ran, new linkage all hooked up, vacuum secondary diaphragm replaced, tq convertor bolted to flexplate, starter hooked back up and bolted in,

Had to order up a th400 dipstick tube, the one I ordered from summit didn't work and broke off when I was trying to test fit it in my spare th400 trans. So once that shows up ill put it in and fill the trans. Also need to bolt the tq convertor cover on and swap out water pump because this one leaks like a mofo!

So the dipstick and tube showed up today. After fucking with it for about an hour, and it still didn't fucking fit, I said Fuck it. And grabbed a th350 tube I had and figured I would give it a try. Fits ok, but need a little tweaking. Got it in but to start the fucking bolt I had to pull the dizzy, to pull the dizzy I had to undo the transmission mount and jack the back of the transmission up. Turns out that the crossmember hangs the trans lower so now that its all back together my hei dizzy don't fit. Its jammed so hard againts the firewall I cant advance or retard the dizzy at all. Pretty sure it will eventually crack the cap. So option 1. "clearance" the firewall with a body dolly and hammer. Option 2. Swap out the dizzy for a oem style dizzy and coil which I will have to buy both. Fuck, I just want to fucking drive this car already!

Yeah, thats not the plan. Just got off the phone with napa, parts will be there this afternoon. Probably put it all in and fire it up tomorrow after I get off work.

Well, It finally fucking moved under its own power. Overall, it goes ok. Needs LOTS of tuning. Had to swap to the points style dizzy, external coil and some new plug wires. Overall, went well. Trans pan leaked a little until I tightened up the bolts a little. And cant get the fucker to idle at all. Probably because I removed the idle stop screw. Probably need to put that back. But it drives. Im pretty pumped.

I did not get vids..... Bro in laws wife did. Ill upload next time she comes over. They are on her phone. I was not purposely trying to lite the tires up. I was left foot braking trying to keep it from dieying and it just hapen to power brake a little. Like 3'......lol and yes, the idle stop screw is kinda important for idle...lol it was a real funky braket that had sine fast idle emissions shit attached to it so I took it off. Not thinking that I need a screw to crack the blades open a touch....lol oh well. Ill get it figured out next week sometime.

Next week foos. Cleaned the garage up today. Found the bracket to set the idle. Didn't get a chance to bolt it on. Have lots of shit going on this week. Ill have some videos up next week of it running like shit.

Well this is the only vid I have so far. I got it to idle. Now I need to get it out on the road and do some tuning......lol This vid was taken b4 I adjusted everything today. So its running a little rough. But now I need to fuck around with some linkage, and whatnot, and weld up some exhaust and then some ripper videos.

Well, talke
the local exhaust shop about having them welding up the exhaust. They quoted me $150, told them ill have hot pieces of slag roll down my sleeve and burn the shit out of myself at that price. So tonight I used what little gas I had left in the welder to tack shit together.

So tomorrow I'm gonna pull the exhaust off and flux core that shit up. Will be nice and ugly. But at least the exhaust is right under the car.

So the exhaust is all welded up and back on. Gonna put some fuel in it tomorrow and take it for a little back woods street tuning. Found out that the carb I have isn't that big of a piece if shit........ Well in theorie....
