Itb's
« on: December 01, 2013, 06:39:12 PM »

Would I be stupid to think a box stock b18c5 on a p28 in chipped ecu that runs and drives "fine" would still run after a set of 48mm jenvey itb's were installed with the stock injectors or is that too much to ask?

Yeah you would have to Alpha-N base tuning

P28 w/ a ITB tune would work but not on a stock ITR tune.  :noel:

I know Crome, EcTune, Neptune have ways of ITBs.

I know Crome should be able handle this, maybe shine a CRX cut out in the sky and Leed to come up and help.  :noel:

The real question is, why would you bother? Is this for your HT build?

One time in a pinch I ran a b20V on Crome without alpha-n tuning. I was amazed at how well it ran.

Ding!
Was hoping it would at least run/move under its own power until I can get it tuned.

If you build a vac manifold and plumb your MAP sensor off of it, it should run well enough to move around.

If the map sensor gets a signal from all cylinders, I wouldn't be surprised if it would move under its own power, but I doubt you would really drive it anywhere

You think someone could do a basemap to get it better?

If memory serves me right the stock ecu will run with itbs it will just be rich down low decent in the middle and lean up top either way i would think it would move around.
