Idling with IACV?
« on: May 19, 2009, 08:34:43 AM »

Long story short my IACV plug disapeared and Idk where it is. So I decided to disable it (or the CEL really) and just run without, now the car idles like shit, so what should I do to get a decent idle down?

That's a fine adjustment screw.  You might have to make a big adjustment via the throttle stop.

I have no IACV on my beater, currently.  Starts, idles, runs like a champ.  The problem you are seeing is likely due to big injectors that don't atomise very well, that a functioning IACV can smooth out.  There are also a couple other causes, that's just the first one that leaps to mind.
