Not looking to spend 200.00 or some shit like that but I need a decent bov that wont leak at 20 psi, I had a greddy type s on the tprc but wasn't really a fan.

synapse hands down you pants jerking you as he steals your money & pride

Fixed. Proven junk by people that prove it.

I'm getting annoyed by my type-s too, I think the type-rs and type-r are more whoosh sounds. The type-r is larger and intended to handle more pressure and flow. Otherwise the 50mm if you don't mine "adjusting" the spring.

I'm running the Chinese tial 50mm knockoff. I'm running 14 PSI, but I"ve ran 18 a couple times and it holds fine. By design the diaphram has much more area than the piston, so as boost goes up, there's more and more force keeping it closed than there is trying to open it. It's not ever gonna crack open and leak in boost.

IMHO

1. Evo 9 bov
2. DGmod dsm 1g bov
3. Metal 996tt bov

Synapse are crap.  The next person that mentions them is getting e-slapped.

x2. I am all for "quality" parts. But i don't like the Synapse BOV and even worse are the gates. I had a 50mm and it came apart.

I really like the Real Tial 50mm BOVs if you are going to have a serious build thats going to see a lotttt of boost. But i guess the Type-r/rs and the Chino 50mm are fine on a mild build. I have also had a 1st Gen DSM bov o a previous build and it held close to 20psi.

And Joe runs ones of these things. And i'm pretty sure it sees over 24psi.
