Well we finally got it in the car and running! This run was at 7 psi of boost from a 67mm turbo, with 15-16 degrees of timing thru an aod! Theres quite a bit left in the car but the owner (me) is getting nervous and we'll probably not push it alot further maybe a little higher in the rpm range to see where it levels out.

I still have a stock fox throttle body on it too.. I need to finish up a few things and cam designer says cam will make power to 6500 and it looks like it will, I'll update numbers after we make a few more pulls with it.

Looks badass, damn that torque LINE.

On a side note, I have a few 302's, one's a 68 block, other a 67. Just threw away 68' 289 that was locked up this summer. HEAVY damn engine.

ya i have a 85 4 eye fox with a mildly built 289 out of a 68 mustang, idk what kind of power those blocks can take, if its not much then i was going to go with a mexican block or the mod 4.6 thats been siting forever at my shop... anyone know anything about 289s?

289 and 283 were thick walled beasts

As were pre-69 302.  Much better than mexican block hype.

My hatred of minorities only extends to the French, and slavic women's sexual ethics, Jon.  Leave my brown skinned Southern nog brothers out of this.

think my 4 eye fox with the 289 needs a hx55 then :noel: has a forged bottom end eagle stroker kit and bored over .020 has cast iron heads and roller rockers, plus the demon carb is blow threw ready....

Fuck that demon carb! I messed with one a customer brought in a while back on a blow thru sbc nothing but issues. Had to rework the whole carb almost. Everything else looks good though!
