i would raise that front up more, those slicks are gonna rub bad at the top end of the track and really really bad when you hit the brakes to slow.

 i actually made a few passes with them , and hit the brakes harddd, and the fender never made contact with the slick at all.. i was suprised. But i did raise the car up , better safe than sorry . Thoes were old pix!!. i have a full 2" between slick to fender.

well i woke up and all seems good t go for today!!

cross fingers and toes!!

Because i'm running at summer slam this coming weekend in the 11.50 index. I'll mostly be trying to dial the car in as close to 11.50 as possible.

Plus i don't want to have them flag my car, since i have no cage.

after the event i'll be back to go faster. I'll just make 60 foot passes, if i see anything in the 1.6's on the board i'm going to run all out.

This Wed at Etown (if it dosent rain).. Or Friday for sure.

Then next Wed, Then Honda Day at Etown on the 18th.

I made a pass on slicks on a strip that i use to test the car out on when i can't get to the track ..(like a 3 mile stretch). Using that Iphone app "dynolicious". And it went 10.90@134mph on a unprepped surface.

So i'll deff have to lift shift and sandbag a bit  not to get booted. (no cage yet). Should be able to get a 8-point in b4 Honda Day

im not too concerned with it. The bumper comes off about 5 times a week. i have to take it off everytime i put it on the trailer.. And  the gap on that side is the cooler piping. It was good with 2.5", but went i went 3" it made a gap at teh headlight.(But if i cut more on that side it will not match the other side).

none of that has to do with your hood to fender gap by the headlight loosen the bolt and the one behind it and pull it out and snug em up when you acheive an even gap? i understand bumper gaps mine was the same.

It's hard to see in that pic. but my hood is "raked" about an inch in the back to let hot air out from the bay.  So yea there is a obvious "gap".

Did you know that when you rake your hood you are forcing air into your engine bay due to the fact that at the base of your windshild is a highpressure area, this is how the cowl inductions works on some of the earlyer mucle cars. Now if you know that then nevermind. But alot of people think that if you rake the hood it will let hot air out of the rear of the hood while moving and thats not the case.



Back on point, Did you run at the track yet? Man I would relay like to see some numbers from this bitch!!!

 shitt!! Good info. I actually did not know that. The main thing is i don't want the turbo taking in hot air. I will set the hood back to Regular once i can find a driverside headlight to mod into a intake for the turbo.

But as far as getting some #'s out this bitch, no1 wants that more tham myself. I went to the track a few times with some issues. BUT ALLL THAT IS  SORTED OUT!!

Actually that hood idea with the cowling is false it drops the internal temp by about 13 degrees, and it does not cowl, super street put that "JDM lift" to the test, and the arguement about wee it really started, in cali or with the JDM crew. ill try and find a link since i read it on my super street, or import tuners iphone app

His track is Island, he does not really like E-town. A few friends and I are going there this friday, my crx is down but I might have some fun with my 6.0l yukon and see what she can do :noel:
