I agree with both CoreyR and Ghetto_D. I know if I just dumb it down, I could sell the car. I've told 2 people interested in the car it wasn't for them. One was a dad looking to buy his daughter a car. The other was some idiot today that "wanted to replace the ECU since it needs a retune".
I don't need the bad karma(or whatever you want to refer to it as) when I sell the car with any slight misrepresentation. We all know when someone sells a car like this for "cheap", the next call you get is 30 minutes later that it blew up and I sold them a POS. Quite frankly, I want to avoid this like the plague. This is why I'm selling it as-is, non-running. I charge the battery, it runs. No questions asked. This car ALWAYS starts on a full battery and a good chip.
If the car isn't sold for a reasonable amount in 30ish days, I will seriously consider put a RHMT auction together where the local low ballers can have at it. I'm letting you know now, the car is an 19 yo's failure of a first build on a shoe string budget. I'd say the best thing on the car is the fact is has one of the last JohnnyRaceCar FMICs.
So, who's got some advice for dealing with the idiots? I'm refraining from posting on HT due to the bullshit I'll get from those idiots, but it's my next step. I figure they'll know half what they are talking about so I won't feel bad when some idiot still blows it up.
