My turbo setup (broken cams pics added 6/7 pg 2)
« on: April 11, 2009, 10:20:41 PM »

Ok so ive been out of the honda stuff for a while and i recently purchased a crx

my setup is

lsvtacH!!!!!!!!!!
81.5mm GE sleeved
CP 9.5:1 pistons
eagle rods
ITR head
broken crower stage 2 turbo cams
supertech valves/springs/retainers
slightly p/p
skunk2 pro series intake manifold portmatched runners and TB, will be done by Chris when my manifold gets here  O0
74mm throttlebody
csaddict mini ram
Holset HE351cw
4"down pipe
stealthmode oil lines
Tial 44mm wastegate
Tial knockoff BOV
ebay intercooler
4bar map sensor
precision 1000cc
Walbro 255

Im trying to get this done before the NW dyno meet but i dont think i will make it, and im hoping to get leed to tune this thing if i do make it  :noel:

Im looking for maybe 500 horses on whatever amount of boost but 400 will be fine, this is my daily driver too so it will be pretty damn fun. I have yet to purchase LSD for my tranny bexause funds are running low, now for the pics.

Test fitting the intercooler, not sure if i want to paint it black or keep it blingy

Perfect fit for the front bumper, im going to try to get away without cutting anything off

this weekend Ryan and I fabbed up the charge pipes and downpipe. We had to stop because i was short a few things, 4" Pie cut downpipe FTW

Ordered the missing items that i needed and some more pipe for the dumptube and downpipe

Startup video, sounds good.

Well i purchased the complete block from a guy in vancouver WA, it had about 2000 miles on it if that.   Unsure of the block being decked or not The cams are not degreed, wasnt sure if spending money on cam gears would be worth it or not.   Yes the manifold was built by Dave. Top notch welding right there.

Im drunk and Jenna (feona) ius throwing up right now

DAve, the manifold is fucking sweeet, your welds are amazing  O0.   Ill try to keep this updated.  HOPEFULLY ill have this setup in and running in about 2 or 3 weeks, all i need if my intake manifold and TB bored and shit and ill be ready to go.   But it dependsa on my work schedule

PARTIZAN, I don't think you will find your half russian flag icon very welcome here.  Though many of us dislike the direction of this country, the American flag still stands for freedom and should never be in any way associated with communism

I meant a pic with the bar off and the intercooler hooked up. What dimensions are the intercooler?

Front bar=front bumper lol. Sorry for the confusion, Im just trying to work out how big the intercooler is and how you hooked up the intercooler pipes with out having to cut huge holes in your bumper. I want a nice stealth install like that for my ef im building. :P

Well i gave you the dimensions, i didnt cut a damn thing on my bumper.  Only thing is that the charge pipes are going to be a bitch because of the fog lights.

Other than that i took out my power steering cooler that was behind the ac and just looped it(because i really dont need my PS to be cooled) and i think i moved one of my horns over just a wee bit.  I marked the center between the headlights and marked the center of the cooler and wa la, fits good but not perfect, but its better than a mangled front bumper and it will hide my intercooler well

So this friday i started ripping the stock motor out of the rex, by midnight friday the motor was out and it was time to sleep.  Saterday i kinda cleaned the engine bay up a little and ran my wideband so it tucked close to the frame of the car in the engine bay, Converted to obd1 and finished welding my downpipe and dumptube. spraypainted and heatwrapped on sunday and today my camera decided to hold a little bit of battery power so i could actually turn the fucking thing on.

All im waiting for is my intake manifold and alternator and this bitch is going in. Ill take pics of the monster TB when it comes back with the intake mani. Thanks Chris  :noel:

4" Downpipe clears the radiator by about 1/2 inch  O0 with no gangster lean

Motor should be in before or by this weekend, more pics to follow. Any thoughts or opinions are welcome
