car made 424hp 267ft lbs @ 13psi 8500rpm limit



thing needs some issues sorting out thats for sure.

full spool at 13psi came at around 5400rpm creeped to around 14psi at the top part.


I was surprised at how quick that thing spooled
+1 boost on that big motherfucker came on hard as fuck.

I got a vid of that run for you if you want.

That turbo is NOT that big... For fucks sake its only a 67mm wheel..

I don't think you have posted up the details, but at what rpm do you hit ~14psi? As I think you are running a 67mm compressor now too? I do realize you have more displacement as well.

 i think you just have too much shit going on to make troubleshooting plausible. ALOT of uneccessary shit for the power youre going after... including the injectors and driver.... RIDICULOUS COIL... etc

Im sure with a good deal more time it would work itself out...  The dumps recircing werent helping either...

LS yes, but not vtec ones. I have 415whp and 255 torq with 3" exhaust so thats normal.

I know, only 14psi for now. I'll boost it up soon as I get my wide band and electronic boost controller. I think manual boost controllers only good for about 18-20lbs.

thinking about getting rid of the injector driver, injectors and going for those new fancy bosch high impedance 1000's, should get rid of these problems that i am having.


How about you come work on my car for me and come learn this fucking shit like I have to, or shut the fuck up and gtfo. This car is still fresh and has the usual problems with any new car/motor setup. The thing some of you dont realize is that I have to drive 11 hours to get down for tuning and the only person that I have near me that has knowledge on any sort of turbo cars usually has no idea what to do with the problems I face with this large of a setup. Shit the closest dyno is 9 hours away.

So unless your going to give ideas on what to check out/fix with the issues I have then just keep your fucking trap shut because you dont know fuck all about dick shit.

manual boost controllers are good for as much as you want them to be,   street tuned a manual boost controller dsm to 42lbs a few weeks ago.

manual boost controllers are good for as much as you want them to be...

MBC's are as good for as much as you want them to be (depending on the style of MBC), but the gates may not. I have seen numerous times where the waste gates have been pushed open by drive pressure, at which point the MBC is only good to that point. With that being said you can always use drive pressure on the top port of the waste gate, this should let you run till the compressor stalls out or blows up.
