Ok, so now both cpp inner fenders are bolted in half way. They fit like complete ass. I don't like it one bit. But I also don't have the money to spend to get ones that do fit. So I'm just going to rock with them all junky looking. The holes don't line up for shit, the hood hing plate are completely out of sorts. Thought about just saying fuck all and not run inner fenders but I know the engine bay will probably just get sanded down with dirt and debris. So for now it is what it is. I will take pics and post them up later.

On the up side. I pulled the gas tank out of my nova last week or maybe the week b4 last I don't remeber. But it's been sitting dry for a while. Still smelt like gas, so rather then try and wash it out and all that, I grabbed about 12' of toilet paper, doubled it up and tied a knot in the end and shoved the knot and about 3 feet of tp in the tank. Lit the end of the tp and hid around the corner like a little bitch with my fire extinguisher wating for something to happen. Watched the light puff of smoke slowly roll out if the tank. Waited a min or two and spayed with some water on the outside of the tank. Nothing. No sizzle or anything. Waited about 20 min and stuck my noise in the tank. It must have burnt up inside because it don't smell like gas at all. Just burnt paper. So I'm pretty sure I'm good now to cut and weld on  it. I'll try and light it off again b4 I really burn in some weldts.

Cliffs:
Cpp 66-67 inner nova fenders fit my lakeshore front clip like shit.
Gast tank is ready for cutting and welding.

Yeah the fenders make me want to bash them with,a hammer. Which might just happen. Or I just won't run any. So today I started work on my sump for my fuel tank.

All trimmed, now I just need to drill some holes for the fuel to get into the sump and fire up the welder, set it to nignog and burn it in.

Ok, holes are drilled and the large chucks of metal are out of the tank. Now I just need to wash it a shit load of times and then weld the sump on. Gonna give it a shot tomorrow if I get time.

Welded it up. Filled it with water and got 3 little pin hole leaks. Circled them with a sharpie and emptied the tank. Gonna weld up the pin holes tomorrow. Don't really care how it looks because I'm going to under coat it black with wheel well liner so it just disappears into the undercarrage. Also going to probably put that gas tank sealer shit on the seams where I welded it on the outside too.

Man, trust me. I so wish this thing was done. I'm working on it but time is not on my side. Almost need to have a rhmt meet at my house and get this thing banged out in a weekend. I'm out in the stick, everyone can camp here in the woods and we can have a huge bonfire after we knock out some work on it!!

Well the tank is summed. Fixed the pin holes and then epoxyed over the welded areas. Then I used undercoating and then once it dried I hit it with some paint.

Taped off the area I didn't want epoxy

Layer the epoxy down, waited 10 min of so and them peeled the tape off.

Here it is all done just waiting to cure

And now here it is all painted. Just waiting for the paint to dry for a few days b4 I shove it back in.

Ordered 2, 44mm wastegates today from vs racing. After spending the day at the track on sat I realized that no matter how much I port the stock wastegate flippers I will not get enough air through. Maybe I'll get around to welding them on next year.

Well, the fuel tank is in and the sump looks killer. Blends right in. Just the way I wanted it too.

Now mock up time. I picked up a (I belive this is what it was from) 69 cougar xr7 3 core radiator off of eBay last year sometime. Has the correct in and out placement for a ls and the correct hight and width for the nova. Fits well but I need to get a couple of pieces of aluminum to add onto the sides to I can bolt it in place.

And yes, I have a whopping 2.5" between radiator and the intercooler.

Well, radiator installed and I put a couple of balls of tinfoil on the radiator and set the hood on just to make sure it wasn't to high. Fits perfect with no issues.

I wish there was something exciting to write about this, but there's nothing to write. I pushed it into my garage and that's about as far as it's got. So many other projects around the house it's been crazy. Trying to get all of our property fenced in by the end of summer. Hoping once that's done then I'll be able to finally work on the Nova some. Probably won't happen until this fall or winter.

Well, I've been super motivated to do shit lately. So........ I wired up 8, 8' lights in my garage. They are the same old school t12 high output fluorescent lights that I had at my old place. They put out about 128,000 lumens of light. So god damn bright! Also I started pulling wire and I am about to wire up 5, 20amp outlets in my garage too. Then once that's done I'll wire up the plugs for my welder and air compressor. Then I just have to go to my in-laws and get all the rest of my tools to bring home and start organising stuff. Hope to have most this done by next Monday. Then once all the stuff is put away, I can put a little focus on the nova. Can't wait!

nova time soon....

I hate my fluorescents, seem like they go through bulbs too fast.
Real close to going to LEDs next round.
Issue is I have 8, 8 footers and all the cheap LEDs I find are 4 footers.

Yes....... I've only burnt 1 bulb out and it was already used with who knows how many hours on it already. I've only burned them maybe a couple of hundred hours. It's way overkill in my garage but I love having this much light. In order to get the same about of light I would have to spend a couple thousand on led's. And it just air worth it to me.

Went and picked up a whole truckload of stuff from my in-laws today. Just small thing that I can lift by myself. But next week I'm going to try and grab everything I can. Gonna try and borrow a trailer from a friend and see what I can get in it. Have a feeling I will have everything. Then I get to put all this shit away.

So I've organized the garage well enough to find the piles of tools I need. Most all thrown in my roll away but not organized. Now I just need to take the tools that are sitting on my bench and hang them up on the pegboard.

Today I finished wiring all my outlets in my garage. Put a extra 3 outlets in the garage and wired the one that was outside so it hot all the time. (Fucking electricians wired it to my light switch in my garage. So If I want to turn the plug on(the one I use for my Christmas lights) I have to also have my garage lights on...... (dumb as shit!)

Went to wire up both my 220v outlets today (one for the welder and one for the air compressor) and the 6gauge wire I have for my welder is about 2' too short. And I had to use my air compressor outlet box because I was 1 short for my outlets. But those will be always as fuck to wire in.

Couple of car updates. I picked up a steering column bearing and 2 t3 flanges. My old ones rusted and the one I did weld up warped real bad. So I got two, t3 stainless steel 1/2" flanges this time around. Also picked up some 2"x3" sch 40 rectangle tubing to finish up my exhaust manifolds.

This weekend is half off at the pick and pull, so after seeing Dustin do it, I'm going to go get a 8.8 rear and hopefully look for a 3" driveline in the wrecking yard to shorten up and use so I don't twist this powerglide driveline up.

That's all for now. Photobuck has really screwed my picture uploading.

Okay, so I'm gonna give imgur.com a try.

Bought a 1969 camaro lip for the nova. Only one I really like that's not carbon fiber and $800 otherwise all the rest I don't really care for. Also got a set of t3 flanges in stainless and 1/2"

Went to my pick and pull yard this weekend because they were having a half off sale. Deals! Got a whole 8.8 rear with 3.73 and a lsd with a swaybar and the u joint flange/yoke adapter for $105. O ly thing it needs is a new diff cover because this one is drilled from the yard. Got one off of rock auto for $19 shipped. Then i hopped on ebay and picked up a set of leaf spring pads so once i shoten the axle i can weld this shit up. A few weeks ago I also picked up some period correct plates for my nova so I can licence it as a classic and not have to pay tabs ever again. They are kinda beat but they match the rest of the car.
This is a 69 camaro lip on a nova. Looks fucking great!

So the dude has pics on his fb page with it mounted back. I don't really like how it looks mounted back. Will probably look gay as shit on a stick on my car because it's not dumped/lowered, but oh well. It will get there. I'm literly going to run the lip on with self taping screws and maybe some washers. After all its a $30 eBay plastic lip.

Progress is happening. Gonna strip the 8.8 tomorrow and get all the shit ripped off it and get it ready to cut down.
