Hey, thanks for reminding me.....

Installed a 5th injector 6" before the throttle body.  550cc.  Controlling it via the PerfectPower6 (SMT6).

Running 25-30% E-85 to 92 pump.  23-24 psi.

Pretty happy.

Clutch is unhappy when changing gears under boost....  :(

The E85 and fifth injectors is balling.  You can definately feel the changeover point when the fifth kicks in, so obviously need some more tuning so its not so top end, need more "all over"

Re-installed the AVCR in conjunction with the Greddy MBC to see if I can get it to spool faster.

Tried to install a nice set of Greddy boost and EGT guages.  They turned out to be FRIED.  craps.

Unsprung....

Ok, motor was out at 2:15, so little less than an hour.... awesome.....

Quickly unbolt pressure plate with fingers crossed.

 :P

Pressure plate surface was SHOOOOOOTTTTT.  The disc was down to rivits and ate the shit out of the pressure plate.....

I have a new flywheel, don't care about the old one.  But the pressure plate?

I was fucked.

So.....

Quickly built a jig, attached it to the rotating table on my ancient Jet mill/drill and resurfaced the pressure plate.  I had to take ALOT off, so much that I also had to take 1/32" off the mounting points as well.

Ghetto Fabrication!

Having an issue with it right now, going back to work on it later tonight.....

It was fucked to begin with, so even if I "ruin" it, I still learn something....

Had to shim the plate out .030 to get it to work.  Took some time to get it right.

But drove it home!

Added a 2nd fuel pump.  Already maxed out the Walbro on the E85, so installed a 97 EJ20R pump....

Fuel pressure sits at 51 psi, and now I have plenty of fuel up top!

0-100 pull.  1990 Legacy turbocharged T3/T4

then the damn headgasket or cylinderwall decided to be a problem....  No more pulls or fun driving until I fix it.  Can still drive around, just no boost....

Was not hitting target boost either, maybe only 20 psi...

Speedo is 5mph fast.

But....

I launch at 1.1 seconds into vid...

So 0-99 (really is 0-94) takes about 9.2 seconds

0-35 (0-30 real) is 3 secs = 1st gear
0-60 (0-55 real) is 4.1 secs = 1-2 gear
0-85 (0-80 real) is 7 secs = 1-2-3 gear.

Don't know for certain how bad it is, but after every two runs, I would have to refill the radiator from the overflow tank.

It's not due to a head lift is it?

If so you could be pushing the water out of the radiator.
I had a similar problem until I re-torqued the head studs. ;D

I read an article about Head Gaskets in D-Sport. Looked at the Cosworth's design where they use a sealing ring the bore are that overlaps MLS. This is to keep combustion from passing through the layers of the head gasket.

Here is the link but but it only covers a small bit of info. because they want you to buy the mag.

Here a link to Cosworth's HG(sale ad) and some bit of info. in it.

Anyway,

Latest motor is 2002 2.5 NA block with STI rods and CP pistons.  STock bore.  Twin turbo heads from way back.
