oh yeah...

it will be powered by the same turbo as before. which i originally bought cuz i wanted a 2.4...
Forced Performance "RED" turbo...its like a 60-1 compressor, TD06h center section, TD07 ported turbine... idk, something like that. i forget the MHI names. along with that baller coated O2 housing that i cant remember who makes, with TiAL 38mm wastegate vented to atmosphere. turbo manifold is an EVOIII unit w/OEM shield.

no fuckin progress. buddy is MIA and only hit me up when its late as shit to come get the motor. so i havent done much of shit. i did reboot both inner axles, second one took twice as long as the first? wtf. most everything is cleaned, prepped, etc.

this is parked in my driveway, behind the CRX thats in the garage, so if i wanna leave or work on it, i need to push it out the driveway into my neighbors driveway to get out. then back... hate.

fuck.

so today i actually picked up my motor.  ;DDD

sorry no pics of the engine on the passenger floor of my CRX...but it was there riding shotgun, lol.

Hyundai G4CS

big block 2.4L  8)

i took pics of the engine internals, uploaded them....then realized i already posted them lol... so yeah, still look the same.

balance shafts deleted. :-*  install this handly little OEM gear stub in the pump, put some BS bearings in wrong (or special delete ones with no oil holes) and rail a freeze plug on the other side to cover the hole from the other shaft.

forgot the ARP headstud w/headgasket installed right before head goes on pic. so classic. oh well.
bled all the lifters, thew them in with rockers, and new cams, seals, 2.4 cam gears.etc

oh yeah, those are the cams. FP2's. suppose to throw down little more power mid/top over the standard HKS 272/272 combo, and maybe loose some lowend. gonna be shitloads better than stock ones lol.

looks like im out of pics...

hardware store was closed, autoparts stores are fuckin garbage. gonna get some shit to delete extra sensors and coolant lines, and oil cooler...  idea is to get rid of shit that could cause issues, like leaking/breaking...

EGR and some misc coolant sensor/vacuum things. sometimes its the little things. also capped off one oil pressure switch thing on the oil filter, moved the other one. some of these are extra i think cuz the motor was not originally a Galant motor.

sure looks like a 60-1 wheel... you can see the FP stamp too.

pretty much set. needs oil pump primed, and a timing belt. that oil filter is for startup, have OEM Mitsu filter after a couple break in miles.

im not doing too bad, as far as that goes. its defiantly a different car. taking my time. things are just different and not honda, and i like the way honda does most shit.

after some discussion on engine management. i have changed my mind again. i really dont care to tinker with this car, i just want it to run drive, and do it fast. might have found an eeprom ECU + dsmlink v2.5 for cheap. waiting to hear back and for me to get paid, this car has broken me. dsmlink is stock based and uses MAF, just gonna be simpler to tune.
might have found a local shop with a AWD Dynojet, waiting to confirm and pricing. probably get this tuned before spring on the dyno.... needs bigger (and not H-rated, and dryrotted) tires before any pulls are made... so will be looking for a good OEM set of Evo9 Enkei's with tires...

fuckme im an old man in pain... tomorrow is gonna be great ::)

day started with the tranny stuck in some imaginary gear. was waiting on my DSM buddy to show up to work some magic.

so i spent like an hour trying to get the water pump pulleys on (maybe not that long), horrible fuckin idea/design/etc. got all the belts and shit on. everything tensioned.

i started work on putting TiAL bov on in place of the 1g DSM valve.

buddy shows up, looks over everything. says thats odd, fucks around with it for a min or two. then grabs hammer and hits it.... well fuck, i was gonna do that ::)  works great, even better after some adjustments.

so yeah, tranny works!... so now i can put axles (with new boots), t-case (bitch), and....

55dollars in oil into them... fuck. and to prove its gay, the MT85 is hot pink, and the shockproof its a nice turquoise? blueish color... ;)

in the dark blurry ass pic...

the TiAL all posted up ready for action.

i think it needs coolant....probably some water wetter. really i think thats all it needs for startup... but its late and dark, look it over with fresh eyes tomorrow after work.

runs, drives, happy.

lifters where noisy as fuck for a while. didnt think one would shut up, finally did. fan wont turn on by its self. jumpers fine. i think i might have shorted out the switch? car runs super cool when moving. even with that HUGE ass intercooler, and the AC condenser taking up space. which btw seem to annoy my friends that came over, they kept pointing a laser thermometer at everything....seemed displeased. apparently her 2.4 is running 20-40* warmer than mine?

DSM Link is also ragingly homosexual.

You need a 4:1 frequency divider in place of the MAF-T, and I'm happy to kick you the pir9 schematics for DSM Link v2.  Because, fuck you.

seems like i can actually tune with dsmlink vs this maft. i have a dead spot between idle-mid thats a little lean and sluggish. bothers me. the dsmlink v2.5 im looking to pick up ($325 w/ecu im told) has slider adjustments every 500rpms for maft, ve, timing. seems like i should be able to dial the car quickly and easily with it.

really? figured it was the standard... even if not, i have always ran my cars on a dynojet. so that would really be my need to use one. just so i would have a better comparison to other shit i have had hit the rollers.

what dyno you suggest?

Well, yeah.  The average person is a retard and has no idea what they are doing, or the criteria by which to select good test gear.

what dyno you suggest?

Anything with an eddy or water brake.  Except Dynojet, theirs doesn't work right - not that many DJ's have them.

that picture was fallowed by a "start at 20psi"  from one of my friends. ::)

work for now to start dialing it in. looks like 8psi. and an assload of vacuum, didnt think with these cams and 175miles on the motor it would pull that much.
still need to find a legit spot to put a gauge, just kinda railed it in there. seems to work.
