UPDATE
Just got the backdoor intercooler today!!!!!!!!!!

Core is 25"x8"x2.75"
Im gona hve to get new ins and outs welded to it in a few weeks because it has 2.5" in/out but its a thick ass wall and the inside of the pipe is 2 1/8" $:-\$ , but It should flow enough air for my power goals. Im taking the compressor side of my turbo over to a friends house tomorrow morning to have him weld a elbow to the compressor outlet. So far its coming along. Slow going but its going. Only thing left after that is to have the turbo balanced

I lived in FL for pretty much all of 08. I've lived in Washington all of my life and I am now back. I'm probably going back to FL during the winter. It's kinda nice having good weather year round. :yes:

His welding is as close as humanly possible to direct straight up cnc tig welding. Fabrication error was due to me running 24.5 tires and him building the system around that. NOT a 26" tall tire, shit will get fixed next time I go down.

Well did a little setting up today and just about got the intercooler just how I want it. I nees to trim just a smidge off the back of the grill. so it dosent push the bumper down. like this

Cant really see it to much but its not just how I want it so im gona trim it up a bit. It will still retane the stock grill. Here is the pic of the front of it.

Once I get it trimmed up tomorrow, its getting a coat of low gloss black for the sleeper look. And then when I get my turbo wheels back from rons turbo shop. Its getting thrown together and on to the streets I go for some tuning. Ill get more pics of how I set it up tomorrow once I get the bumper trimmed. Man im itchen for the boost. I cant wate.

The sensor you used to plug that VW radiator is a 22mm X 1.5 pitch.

I'm stealing your backdoor idea and taking it another level up. I'm even getting the same IC, but the endtanks will be modified for 3" inlets.

Now finish your fucking setup, I'm kinda excited about how it'll turn out.

In the future im going to take some 3" alum pipe down to the exhaust shop and have them swedge it out like a header colector pipe and cut out and have it welded to my intercooler so the transistion is as smooth as possable. I would have it done if i had my fucking turbo wheels. Im still wasing for them. Its been 2 weeks since i shipped them out. Im gona call the shop tomorrow. I have a fealing that this thing is going to be a great street car. Im not gona go out and break any records but it should rip and be a pretty reliable setup.

Well i called up Rons turbo service in utah (the guy that has my wheels) well hes had them sitting on his desk for 2 weeks, and he said he will be shipping them out in the next day or two. So i should have them early next week and hopfully have her done around the 22nd. I dont have alot of time untill after then.
