Well got a bunch of little shit done in the last couple of days....

Drivers side suspension is all checked and tight.
Shock cover/bump stop is bolted on drivers side.
Ps bracket is painted and mounted
batt tray is painted and mounted
bumper and grill is all mounted and turn signals wired
hood latch painted and bolted in
headlight trim bezel is on
some wiring ran
wiper motor is painted and bolted in
Horns bolted on..

Not much but its all the little shit that takes time

There will be no Russ style simple in this build. End of story! Once its running, Ill come back and clean up all the wiring with some loom and all that good stuff.

Kinda ran into a wall. Lots of of little fab shit I have to do and not enugh time this last weekend, but I got a few more little things done

PS pump and belt in
Alt test fitted and belt length is good on it
Main relay cleaned up, wired up and bolted in
Voltage regulator cleaned up, wired up and bolted in
Wiper motor wiring hooked up and linkage bolted to it
throttle linkage bolted in the car now
horn wires hooked up
Drivers side suspension is all done and tq down.
Front wheels TQ'ed down

Started to fuck with shifter linkage bracket that mounts to the transmission so I can shift it through gears, but it looks like im gonna have to do some fab work on it because it doesn't just hook up. Its the wrong bracket. Think its for a floor shifter or cable and my linkage is just that , LINKAGE.

And the dipstick tube that I though was for the Powerglide Is defiantly for something else. Once the tube is in, the bracket for it to bolt to the transmission sits about 3/4" higher that the bolt hole. So I think Im gonna weld a washer to the tube or something.

and last but not least, I pulled the batt out of my integra to just test the wiring, and low and behold, All my wring on the car works. Horns, turn signals, brake lights and everything else except the radio because the fuse for it is missing.

You will likely end up with monster back pressure, and no workable rpm range if you go to small.

Not going for a track car at all. Litterly I want to stand on the go pedal and have boost there at any range in the rpms. Even if it means giving up peak horsepower for the last 1k. I Mean if and when I boost it, if it make 450whp @ 3k, you can't tell me that it wouldn't be a fun ride to cruise around town in.

Just keep in mind each of the 4 cylinders in that V8 have more displacement then a Honda H motor.

Also keep in mind that 450hp@3000rpm is almost 800ft lbs of torque, that is going to take a decent built transmission, and will burn the tires off at will. Sounds like you are trying to build a diesel.

Lol, ok. Let me rephrase that. I want 450tq @ 3k.....lol But to be 100% honest, I just want the car to move under its own power right now. I'll worry about boosting it later on.

So now you are talking like 250hp, depending on your current compression ratio, a cam swap will net you that and more...

As you may be realizing about now, making power at 3000rpm really isn't good for anything but pulling trailers.

I was kidding about no turbo. That's asinine. Lol. V8's are a whole different deal than 4 cylinders. I remember tuning a v8 for the first time. Maxed out the injectors at 2500-3k rpm then had to back tons of fuel out above that. It went against everything I was used to. Lol

A diesel, certainly not a v8 gas with a proper cam and turbo...

Not with the stock cam, but depending on compression ratio, with a different cam it should be able to pull that.

Well, from what I have gathered. My comp is about 9.5:1 and the cam that is in there is its a little hotter than a lt1 cam. Find out soon. They dyno day is less than 2 months away.
